Well, a new record price for a photograph at auction has been set in New York with the sale of Andreas Gursky's Rhein II going for a whopping $4.3 million...
And it's not even a one off print!

Crazy! I can see the appeal but wow, so much money.
Yeah, you wonder whether the purpose of the sale was for bragging rights; whether it served more as a statement of gross affluence rather than as a statement of fine art?
If it was the former, I'd better be getting the buyers email address as they may want to stretch their ego a little more!!!
